Once we finish our sit in Wales, we will take the train north to Scotland. We have another Trusted Housesitters gig in Stirling with Fergus the cat (our first cat, who I'm hoping will help me feel a little less homesick for our Lando), but we have 5 whole days in between leaving Beaumaris and when we are due in Stirling. It will be my first time in Scotland, though Calvin got to visit right after he graduated high school. We are very excited to explore!

We plan to follow our feet a bit on the journey--I hope to stop in Manchester, and we know we want to spend a few days in Edinburgh, but we are open to whatever diversions lie along the way. Once we are in Stirling, we can easily make day trips to Glasgow, Loch Lomond, and other nearby sights. Please comment below with any recommendations you have for us in Scotland!

Hi World Travelers! I'm so thrilled that you like Edinburgh, and had the opportunity to read Alexander McCall Smith in advance to really feel at home. I heard that you will be going to Bordeaux. If you have time, I would love to have you visit our wine broker, sample some wine and order me another case to ship to the US. It is in the city center. You will love Bordeaux. I love the blog - keep up the great photos!
