After Ireland we will take the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, Wales, then take a train to our next pet sit in Beaumaris. Here, we will be staying with 3 pups--Olive, Una, and Benji. On our last trip to Europe, we enjoyed the brief time we had in Wales, and we are very excited to get a chance to explore more!

Beaumaris is home to Beaumaris Castle, which began construction in the 1280s and according to the official Welsh government website is "famous as the greatest castle never built." Construction began in the 1280s as a project of Edward I, but was abandoned by the 1320s due to increased tension in Scotland diverting the attention of the British royals. According to our host, the village is quite Victorian in nature and hosts several lovely shops and pubs for us to visit. The town is idyllically set along the coast, and we plan to take the pups on many walks on the beach!
